Living Arrangements Revealed
Big Brother 13 premiers on Thursday, July 7 at 9/8c! Today, photos of the new house were revealed on cbs.com/bigbrother to give us a preview of what’s to come… (all photos via CBS.com)
Living Space:
The big brother kitchen/dining/living room zone looks great this year with an entire wall of brick and nice bright colors. We see that the seating arrangements have changed from chairs to benches. I like these for two reasons: 1) they look great, and 2) someone will probably fall off/over one at some point this seasons… but they are going to be a pain in the arse to get in and out of for the hgs. What I really want to know is what is up with the cage around the stairs!? It looks like a storage unit in an apartment basement. It’s weird and I’ll bet the hgs aren’t even allowed to climb it.
Bathroom/Lounge:
The bathroom this year is lovely. I really like the color scheme and decor. That being said, wtf, BB? They always manage to put a room in that freaks me the hell out. What is going on in the lounge room!? That fortune teller looks totally possessed and you know it’s going to start saying some random crap before the season is over.
Backyard:
The back yard this year is interesting. I like it for a lot of reasons. I really like the furniture and murals, I’m thinking the BB-inspired graffiti all over the walls will grow on me and I’m loving the painted-on/real palm trees!
Bedrooms:
I really like the bedrooms this year. They coordinate in color but are so different. It looks like there are double beds, so many are wondering if the contestants will be paired up this year. Time will tell! I love the wood room but I would have to sleep in the ice cream room, only because I know that I would walk into that wood frame/platform bed every time I would get in it or walk by it.
HOH
The HOH room is causing a stir because two different pictures have been posted. This one is courtesy of CBS.com/bigbrother. It has a more earthy & peaceful feel to it, while the other one (which is from Yahoo!TV is VERY similar but has bursts of orange and other punches of color to brighten it up. Some are speculating that there may be two HOH rooms this year, but it’s also a possibility that CBS made some last-minute changes. I also like the fact that the chess set looks like a park scene, which is cute, but also that it’s not so comfy that the hgs will lounge around all day because that tends to get a bit dull. (as opposed to those edge-of-your-seat pool tournaments - in case you were worried, you can see the pool table through the glass doors.)
